General Information

The Cove Creek Golf Course was designed by golf architect Linsay Bruce Ervin and was constructed in 1979-1981. The course covers 75 acres and has beautiful Patriot Bermuda Fairways. Additional golf facilities at Cove Creek include a Pro Shop, putting green, and practice range with chipping green and practice sand bunker.

The course is physically nine holes but has 6 sets of tees on each hole that allows the course to play as 18 distinct holes. The course plays about 5,600 yards from the back tees and is USGA rated and sloped at 118 for men. From the front tees the course plays about 4,300 yards and is sloped at 115 for women. The middle tees plays about 4,700 yards and is sloped at 101 for men and 123 for women.

The course has three distinctive par 3's, two par 5's and four par 4's on each nine hole side. For 18 holes, 22 bunkers come into play. Some of the course meanders alongside Cove and Tanner's Creek and its signature hole, number 3/12, is directly on the Eastern Bay providing one of the most beautiful golf holes in the state.  The number 5/14 hole is a double dog leg par 5, the only such hole on Maryland's Eastern shore.
